Ignorance

Political cartoons were heavily influential in the development of my idea of design. I can still remember the first one I ever saw of Nikita Khrushchev arm wrestling president Kennedy during the cold war. Politics in and of itself is ripe with irony and capturing the irony and weight of situations with satirical analysis is a beautiful way to highlight problems lightly. These comics are examples of the humor of the United States political climate currently. These are a work in a series I intend to continually grow. Trumps action tend to seem like low hanging fruit at this point but we can’t stop criticizing someone because their actions have become normalized. This medium needs to grow in respect due to being easily distributed and digestible to the laymen allowing design to have an impact on the course of the country.
